Sharon Crowson’ s family business, Crowson Fabrics, established in 1978, became one of the world’s leading producers, designers and suppliers of home furnishings, and her entire 30 year career has been immersed in the world of textile production. Four years ago she took on the huge archive of designs curated by her father and has created a series of collections bringing to life some of the archive’s most beautiful designs. With textile printing in her DNA, coupled with a passion for pattern and colour, she has skilfully reinterpreted designs through the use of a bold colour palette and inventive dimensions of scale to create a covetable collection of fabrics for both residential and commercial projects. A dedicated lover of mixing and matching colour, pattern, and weaves she believes that 2021 will see a resurgence in the trend for bright, vibrant colour and elaborate pattern including chinoiseries, toiles and botanical chintzes as we seek energy and individuality from our homes. Sharon, divides her time between the family home in Sussex, and London where The Design Archives showroom can be found on Lots Road in Chelsea.
