Rural Threads Collection

The Rural Threads collection includes a range of tote bags and purses, each made from hand-loomed, hand-dyed organic cotton. The pieces are then hand-embroidered with simple yet striking motifs, showcasing a variety of traditional stitches. The designs draw inspiration from the women's everyday lives and the natural beauty of their surroundings.
This collection is made by the women of Thanapara Swallows, a Guaranteed Member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). Based in rural Bangladesh, the organisaiton provides trianing and sustains employment to around 300 women, offering meaningful, dignified work that supports family life.
