The other day I found some whimsical  watercolour sketches  I made  years ago while looking at the butterfly's cabinet at the natural history museum  and from those I got inspired to make this  jewellery collection . 

 Please note that this butterfly do not aim to be realistic , they are new specimens direct from my imagination . Each one is hand crafted individually  and completely unique . 

I really enjoy the process of making them , is a bit like magic : I sculpt , polish , fire, paint and fire them again. When I finally open the kiln door they come out flying and flapping their wings. Is really beautiful to see them but I ought  to be careful  for a couple always manage to scape trough the window.
