Wander in a woody wonderland with this new collection from Hannah Turner

The new collection from ceramicist Hannah Turner brings together a quirky cast of woodland creatures for our homes this autumn. New Wild Boar planters and Red Squirrel salt and pepper shakers join existing favourites the Owls and Toadstools to complete a rustic woodland theme.
The handmade Wild Boar planter (£30) has roguish charm and by planting some herbs or succulents in his back, he'll grow a gorgeous coat to finish off his rugged good looks. Hannah calls wild boars: "nature's rootlers" she continues, "they're great for rewilding as they naturally churn up the soil which can help new plants to flourish." Once common in the UK, wild boars were hunted to extinction in the 1500s then were accidentally reintroduced by enthusiasts in the 1990s. They have now reached a population of around 4000, mostly in the New Forest and Wales.
Also in the Wild Boar range is the money box (£31) - who's guaranteed to protect those hard-earned pennies - and the Wild Boar Piglet salt and pepper shakers (£26) with recognisable stripy backs which earn these adorable animals the rural nickname 'humbugs'.
Joining Hannah’s hugely popular salt and pepper animal designs are the native red squirrels. Immortalised by Beatrix Potter in Squirrel Nutkin, these pretty creatures are under threat from their grey foes and are currently being protected by Wildlife Trust conservation projects. Hannah's Red Squirrel salt and pepper shakers (£26.00) have fine fluffy tails and sport suitably inquisitive expressions.
Both new ranges compliment Hannah's existing Owl and Toadstool collections to create a kitchen woodland wonderland.
