Style a simple indoor tabletop with Garden Trading

STRONG SHAPES
Mango wood is as beautiful to touch as it looks. It’s sleek and smooth and in oversized circular sharing boards and bowls, it really is quite special. With each piece having its own function, it’s easy to mix and match depending on the occasion and number of people attending.
MATERIAL MIX
Whilst some tables lend themselves beautifully to intricate patterns and eclectic mixing of colours when it comes to textiles, a simple tablescape is best served by a limited colour palette with a focus on textures and tactility.
BOLD FINISH
Cutlery in an unexpected colour or metal adds a real sense of style. Keep the shapes simple to avoid distracting from the main players – the food and drink – and it will add some interest to each place setting.
CONTRASTING COMPONENTS
Mixing materials with a focus on their finish and shape is a good way to create interest. Try white ceramics with unexpected edges contrasted with warm wood of wholesome silhouettes.
LEAN INTO GREENS
For a natural wood tablescape, nothing will quite add the wow factor like natural foliage. For photoshoots we keep to a limited colour palette, instead allowing differing shapes, heights and textures to speak for themselves. With so much rich wood, striking foliage in a vase or a simple white flower applied to each napkin will lift the look without overpowering the whole table.
