Of Kings & Queens - A feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds.

A FEAST FOR THE EYES AS WELL AS THE TASTE BUDS. IN THE NEW – AND FIRST EVER – BEER MUGS FROM SIEGER BY FÜRSTENBERG, THE DRINK OF KINGS IS SHOWN OFF TO FULL EFFECT.
Beer is one of the world’s oldest and most internationally popular drinks. Wherever you go, people brew and drink beer. SIEGER by FÜRSTENBERG is breathing fresh life into this tradition with elegant, slender beer mugs made of porcelain and gold.
The right to brew beer used to be a privilege conferred by kings and princes, as a way to preserve the quality of this archaic drink as well as a lucrative source of income. Royal insignia can still be found in the emblems of many breweries to this day.
Spring water, hops, malt and yeast: that’s all you need to make the drink of kings, which can be enjoyed in the finest of company all over the world. In the new handcrafted beer mugs from SIEGER by FÜRSTENBERG, these exquisite ingredients can achieve their full potential. Of Kings & Queens, designed by Michael Sieger, is an elegant, slender reinterpretation of the classic beer mug. The matt satin finish on the outside makes the unique quality of the handcrafted porcelain palpable to both sight and touch. Beneath the head of foam, the interplay between the 24-carat interior and the golden drink creates a glistening show of light that makes savouring the beer an even greater pleasure.
The straight-lined design and concave facets are inspired by the forms of Doric columns. Decorative grooves were a key design element in ancient architecture, which served to accentuate the columns’ upward sweep.
The beer mugs are designed by SIEGER and made by hand in the Porzellanmanufaktur FÜRSTENBERG studios with great delicacy of touch. They are available in two sizes, 0.33 and 0.5 litres, and sit snugly in the hand thanks to the slender, finely formed handle.
