Founded by Niccy Iseman over xx years ago, Type and Story is a greeting card company on a mission. 

The ethos behind this flourishing independent brand is deep rooted in helping people to tell stories and express feelings through meaningful exchanges. Expressing emotions is not an easy task for everyone, but with the help of thoughtful designs, the hope is that everyone can share their innermost sentiments through the brands collection of ‘stories’. 

The brand operates like a micro fashion house. Every ‘story’ is different, but always under the umbrella of typography and storytelling –  the inspiration for the name behind the brand. 

This latest collection launch, affectionately named ‘Keepsakes’,  is a love story to those joyful, nostalgic memories from the past. The stunning range of 18 heartfelt greetings card designs has been lovingly hand crafted by Niccy in her small, London based design studio. Cards for every occasion feature, from birthdays, family members, anniversaries, wedding celebrations, Valentine’s and general declarations of love, as well as generic designs that can be individually personalised.

Niccy says; “Keepsakes  is very much inspired by cherished trinkets and relics you might discover in granny’s attic. I love the nostalgic sentiment of the designs, which perfectly encapsulate all those treasured memories and keepsakes that keep us closely connected to the past”. 

Drawing on fondly remembered collectibles, expect to see stunning illustrations of ornate glass objects, decorative picture frames and decorative treasures, embellished with delicate hand drawn antique roses, deep red love hearts, romantic lace, ribbons and all the trimmings. 

The colour palette focuses on soft pastels of dusky pinks, lavender and antique white and cream hues, complimented by bold reds, gold and accents of dark blue. 

The overall sentiment is a modern take on vintage charm. Taking inspiration from the past but with a contemporary touch that feels both relevant and modern. Niccy is hopeful that these cards will become keepsakes themselves, secreted away for years to come and saved as treasured memoirs.

The brand prides itself on its originality and  commitment to sustainability. A selection of the cards in this stunning collection are die-cut into bespoke shapes, adding to the premium look and feel of each design. Additional elements such as scalloped edging and foiled detailing in red and gold using a hand finished hot foil press technique,  further elevate the luxurious quality. 

Every card crafted by Type and Story is printed on FSC quality paper, crafted in small batches to ensure minimum waste. The hand finished elements and planet friendly production processes are kinder to the environment too.
