Green&Blue commit to business as a force for good

Returning to Top Drawer for the sixth year, Perranporth based company Green&Blue has proudly announced, in the run-up to the show, its certification as a registered B Corporation.
B Corporations (or B Corps) are a growing group of companies who are reinventing business, by pursuing purpose as well as profit. Green&Blue has been certified by B Lab as having met rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals beyond that of profit.
“When we discovered the B Lab and B Impact Assessment we immediately knew this was a community of businesses and change makers we wanted to be part of” Faye Clifton, Green&Blue sales and marketing manager says. “The certification process is rigorous and gave us a framework to really examine every area of our business and impact. We now know where we’re doing really well and have a roadmap for the areas where we know we can do more.”
Green&Blue joins a growing community of over 2600 businesses globally, with over 175 in the UK, including well known brands like innocent, Patagonia, Pukka Herbs, Ella’s Kitchen, Divine, and JoJo Maman Bebe. They become the fourth B Corp in Cornwall, joining Finisterre, Leap Media and Resonance. Expect to see more B Corporations at Top Drawer as time goes on.
Kate Sandle, Head of Community of B Lab UK, says “We are delighted to welcome Green&Blue to the B Corp community. This is a movement of companies who are committed to changing how business operates, who believe business really can be a force for good. We know that Green&Blue are going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward”.
“Their commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to others and really help spread the idea that we can redefine success in business to be as much about people and planet as it is about profit”.

About Green&Blue
Green&Blue were founded in 2005 by husband and wife team Gavin and Kate Christman, who met whilst working at Dyson.
In recent years they were winners of the Soil Association Innovation award for the Bee Brick, a nesting site for solitary bees designed to be used within construction in place of a standard brick or block.
In October 2018 Cornwall Council adopted a new Biodiversity planning document which stipulates that 50% of new builds need to include a Bee Brick or Block, alongside other measures for swifts and bats, amongst others.
In 2019 Green&Blue will launch new products designed to encourage wildlife to cohabit in new builds and to promote biodiversity and habitat creation.
