Emilie O’Connor Homestore is your place to find beautiful, accessible homewares to use with friends and family.

Emilie’s homewares are designed to talk to us about our natural environment and the dangers it faces. Delicate and vivid, the patterns covering her tableware evoke the ocean, beautiful coral reefs and ancient sea animals like our very own dugong. They’re intended to spark conversations among adults and children, and inspire awareness and protection.

All of her products are made with sustainable and biodegradable materials. The first collection has been produced in collaboration with The Great Barrier Reef Foundation and is made with renewable bamboo fibre. This tableware is an alternative to single-use plastic and a better reusable alternative to the plastic clogging up our oceans. It is light and easy to transport, and designed for indoor and outdoor use – perfect to take to a friend’s house for dinner or on a camping adventure.

Emilie O’Connor comes from a design background in the UK. After growing up in rural Oxfordshire, Emilie moved to London to study at the prestigious St Martin’s College London, which bought her final show and work for its archive.

Emilie then joined a set design team creating music videos for groups like The Spice Girls before graduating into TV art direction. At the same time, she started a textile design studio in West London, 009textiles, where she was soon commissioned to produce bespoke textiles and fabrics for fashion clients such as Rupert Sanderson and Liberty’s, and hotel groups like Soho House. Emilie’s work featured in UK Vogue and she won a best British fabric design award from Elle Decoration.

Now living in Melbourne (and expecting her third child), Emilie’s new venture offers the chance to blend her passion for pattern and colour with her love of nature. At Emilie O’Connor Homestore, you’ll find beautiful, sustainable and fun products for your home and to share with friends and family.
