NEW DESIGN FOR DIFFERENT TIMES
We speak to four industry leading designers about the changing face of the industry and ask: is how we work, live and create changing for good?
Speakers:
- Constantina Tsoutsikou, Founder, Studio Lost
When Constantina – formerly creative director of award-winning international design practice, HBA – decided to launch her own studio, she had no idea that it would coincide with a global pandemic. She discusses how it has shaped her thinking and approach, and why, for her, there won’t be a return to ‘business as usual’.
- Gayle Noonan and Tatjana von Stein, Co-Founders, Sella Concept
Sella Concept is a highly regarded, London-based interior design and branding studio that has worked on well known hospitality, residential and retail projects – for the likes of Conran, Netflix and Alexa Chung. The duo share their insights into the evolving design landscape and explore why – more than ever – where you work has a dramatic impact on how you work.
- Nicola Keenan, Co-Founder, Boxx Creative
Boxx Creative is a multi-award winning creative consultancy, specialising in global projects for hospitality, leisure, retail and workplace clients. Being environmentally minded, socially responsible and community-driven is at the heart of what they do and drives their design philosophy to ‘consciously create’. With that in mind, Nicola shares her thoughts on the ever-increasing importance of values in design in an evermore uncertain world.
Session chaired by:
- Harry McKinley, Journalist and Consultant
Harry is a design, travel and culture journalist, writing regularly for the likes of Wallpaper*, Telegraph Travel, Design Anthology, Suitcase and Hospitality Design. As a consultant, Harry works primarily with design and hospitality brands on strategy, content creation and concept development – including, most recently, an internationally-acclaimed bar and restaurant operator, a global design-led glassware label and an award-winning interiors studio.
