Sweet treats for Valentine’s Day from Jenna Rae Cakes
I can’t help but dream of sugar mice and macaroons when it comes to these pops of sweet colour. I know summer is still a long way off, but with the longest day now behind us it’s tempting to welcome a tasty sugar hit to brighten our homes, especially on these clearer, frostier days.
The prettiest paint palette by Amanda Rydell at Be Crafty
With resolution-time upon us I’ve heartily indulged in some innocent (eye) candy and happily stumbled upon Amanda Rydell’s Be Crafty. If you also fancy tucking in, please do join me at her blog for gorgeous craft and gift ideas presented in the most beautiful sweet sugar palette.
Another blogger with an eye for a good shade of pink is the lovely stylist Selina Lake. Just look what a few pretty candles can do for an instant table top update…

Pretty and pastel wallpapers abound right now but if you fancy a touch of fondant and don’t have a decorating project on the horizon, it’s all in the accessories. There are plenty of mouth-watering options for everyday kitchen electricals in all the right retro shades. Painted wooden and metal furniture is also enjoying a revival and powder coating possibilities are endless.
Already kitted out but desperate to indulge? Consider swapping out a plain lamp flex to a pink corded variety, or painting an enamel shade. Grab a brush and a tester pot and simply paint the edge of a table or shelf. Or how-about a change of grout? These pretty shell-like splash-back tiles look divine set in lemon yellow. What a fab idea!
