From award-winning products to playful ideas that make people stop and smile, Pikkii has built a reputation for creating gifts that stand out from the crowd. Founded on the belief that gifting should be original, beautifully designed and genuinely joyful, the brand continues to surprise retailers and consumers alike with its unique take on everyday products.
Ahead of Top Drawer A/W26, we caught up with the team behind Pikkii to learn more about their journey, creative inspiration, latest launches and the values that drive everything they do.
What inspired you to start your business/brand?
A shelf full of things nobody would be excited to receive.
I'd already run a giftware brand, and I run an innovation studio that creates bestsellers for global gift and games companies, so I'd spent years walking trade shows. There is an enormous amount of generic product out there. Often poorly made, presented with uninspiring content and produced using materials that could be so much better.
Pikkii started as a fairly stubborn attempt to prove the opposite. Gifts can be genuinely original, thoughtfully designed, beautifully presented and made properly. Playful doesn't have to mean throwaway.
What are your brand's values?
Originality, playfulness and thoughtful design, roughly in that order.
Everything we make has to earn a reaction. A smile, a laugh, or that irresistible urge to grab the nearest person and say 'look at this'. If a product only gets a polite nod, it isn't finished.
But fun doesn't have to be frivolous. We care about quality, sustainability and making things people genuinely want to keep, use and give. The test never changes: would we be excited to find this in a shop ourselves?
What is your biggest motivation?
Watching an idea travel from a scruffy sketch on someone's desk to a stranger in a shop picking it up and saying 'I have to buy this for someone'. That journey never gets old.
I'm also motivated by building a brand that retailers genuinely enjoy stocking. We want Pikkii to be the corner of the shop that customers drift towards without quite knowing why. Surprising, joyful, easy to understand, easy to gift and very difficult to walk past.
Where did the inspiration for your products come from?
Everywhere, which is a deeply unhelpful answer, so: everyday objects, familiar situations, animals, terrible jokes and the small human moments almost everyone recognises.
Then we ask three questions. Could this be more fun? Could it be more useful? Would it make a brilliant gift? The magic usually happens when two unrelated ideas collide. Our favourite products feel instantly understandable but still make you think 'why has nobody made this before?'
What has been a highlight while creating and building your brand?
A few stand out.
Winning the Top Drawer Spotlight Award for Best Product in Gift, and Gift of the Year three years running. A reassuring reminder that originality still gets noticed.
Building a team who love what they do and are genuinely set on creating the world's best-selling products.
But nothing beats a retailer walking onto our stand to tell us our products are flying, or that Pikkii is their number one gift line. That's the whole job, right there.
What advice would you give to business owners, creators, designers and brand owners just starting out?
Be original. Don't make something simply because it looks like what's already selling well. The world isn't crying out for a slightly different version of the same thing.
Find the idea, viewpoint or bit of personality that only you can bring, then make it unmistakable. Listen closely to customers and retailers, but don't lose the instinct that made you start in the first place.
Begin before everything feels perfect, learn quickly and keep improving.
Also, make peace with the fact that you'll spend a surprising portion of your life discussing packaging dimensions.
Will you be launching any new collections at Top Drawer? If so, can you give us a sneak peek?
We will. A brilliant selection of new products for autumn/winter, full of the playful ideas, unexpected details and giftable design Pikkii is known for.
We don't want to spoil every surprise just yet, but visitors can expect plenty of personality, and possibly a few unexpected creatures flying onto the stand.
What is your personal favourite from your new collection?
Paper Pigeons, no hesitation. Playful, surprising and unmistakably Pikkii. The kind of product that makes people stop, smile and immediately think of someone they want to give one to (whether they love pigeons or absolutely despise them)
I'm pretty confident these will be a bestseller!

How do you operate your brand sustainably?
It starts at the design stage rather than being bolted on at the end. We choose better materials, all of our packaging is 100% plastic-free and it's printed using plant-based inks.
We also think originality and quality are part of sustainability. A product that feels special, works well and is worth keeping beats novelty for novelty's sake every time. The goal is plenty of joy, and as little unnecessary impact as possible.
