Canga - Caroline Hall
My workshop in a walled garden in the middle of Totnes is where I am surrounded by inspiration. In the tradition of William Morris, I make silk-screens from patterns I have drawn and print them on my table, then dye outside under the loquat tree before making up into scarves.
Bold flower patterns on CREPE DEVORE emphasise the contrast between see-through silk and shining viscose pile. I am experimenting printing several patterns in vivid colours on silk/viscose VELVET to produce thick and sumptuous double scarves, also DOUBLE DEVORE scarves in Loquat design.
