Adam Aaronson has been at the heart of British studio glass for nearly 30 years. Based in West Horsley, Surrey, Adam specialises in free blown glass with coloured patinas drawing on painterly techniques. His artworks relate to simple classical forms and he draws his inspiration predominately from a love of natural landscapes, waterscapes, and horizons.
Much of Adam’s work is done to commission. Recently he has been working on glass lighting and decorative features for the legendary new boutique hotel in Bath – No15 Great Pulteney.
Over the past two years, Adam has been working on a major commission with fellow Surrey artist Mary Branson. Her sculpture “New Dawn”, incorporating 168 blown glass elements made by Adam, was installed in the Houses of Parliament in June, 2016
At Top Drawer 2017 Adam will be exhibiting sculptural vessels and contemporary lighting.
